VOUVRAY & MONTLOUIS WINE TOUR

Your RiverLoire wine expert will come and pick you up at 9:15 am to drive you to the beautiful lush and green Valléede la Brenne. Along the way, you will spot some of the most prestigious “demeures” of the region. Your guide will describe and explain to you everything there is to know about a very much alive concept in the Touraine area, the “Troglodytes” houses.

 

After driving through some 2000 hectares of vineyards, we will first stop at a privately owned Castle. Built in the 15th century by King Louis XI, it is surrounded by the famous vineyards of Vouvray and 60 acres of forest. An authentic historic building that witnessed centuries of beautiful architecture and gracious living “à la Française”.

 

A short drive will then take us to one of the most spectacular troglodyte wine cellar located near Vouvray, with its top rated wine production. This visit will be driven by a private guide and include a taste of some of the best wines of the region.

 

A scenic drive along the Loire and through Montlouis-sur-Loire will lead us to Saint-Martin-le-Beau for the visit of a private wine cellar located in an elegant private property, which only opens its gates to the RiverLoire guests. Wine and cheese tasting is on the program, a great way to share an authentic moment with local people and an inspiring approach to some of the best regional wines.
